Patrick Roche is the Director of Innovation, New England for Good Energy, L.P., a leading municipal aggregation (community choice aggregation) consultant that has both pioneered and brought to scale green aggregation in Massachusetts. At Good Energy, Patrick manages the development and implementation of clean energy strategies to empower cities and towns to leverage municipal aggregation to build new renewables, bolster the grid and reduce GHG emissions. 

Previously, Patrick served as the Assistant Director of Clean Energy at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), the regional planning agency for greater Boston. There, Patrick helped over 15 municipalities authorize green municipal aggregation. Patrick also led a statewide grant program that retrofitted over 98,000 streetlights to LEDs and oversaw MAPC’s efforts to reduce natural gas leaks, including through a 2016 study to improve municipality-gas company coordination to accelerate removal of leak-prone pipe (available at FixOurPipes.Org).  Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy from Colby College.
